David Barton

Mr. Barton is the Founder and President of WallBuilders, a national pro-family organization that presents America's forgotten history and heroes, with an emphasis on our moral, religious and constitutional heritage.  His exhaustive research has rendered him an expert in historical and constitutional issues. He will be speaking on America’s Christian heritage and our responsibilities as Christians to participate in the political process.

Sheila Liaugminas

Ms. Liaugminas is a Chicago-area journalist with extensive experience in secular and religious journalism. Her writing covers a variety of topics, including the Church, faith, culture, politics and the media. She is a regular contributor on Relevant Radio. Ms. Liaugminas will offer the introductory presentation on Faithful Citizenship and will be overall moderator for the day.

Father Thomas Loya

Fr. Loya is pastor of Annunciation of the Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church near Chicago. He serves as a spiritual advisor for the Theology of the Body International Alliance and is a frequent contributor for Relevant Radio.  Fr. Loya will be speaking on Human Life and Family Life.

 

Father Erich Rutten

Fr. Rutten is Director of Campus Ministry and Chair of the Commission on Ecumenism and Interreligious Affairs for the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.  Fr. Rutten will be speaking on the subject of Global Solidarity.

 

Father Peter Laird

Fr. Laird is Vice Rector and Director of Seminarians at St. Paul Seminary and Assistant Professor of Moral Theology at St. Thomas University.  Fr. Larid will be speaking on the topic of Social Justice.

Father Michael Keating

Fr. Keating is a Ph.D. and Professor of History in the Catholic Studies Department at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Fr. Keating will offer a summary presentation on balancing the various dimensions of Catholic social teaching in the context of Faithful Citizenship.
